Is there a stage that is as synonymous with Super Smash Bros as Battlefield? Its been in every iteration of the franchise, and is always the home of multi-man battles. Of the triangular platform stages, this one is generally regarded as the most even and balanced amongst different playstyles. Time passes quickly on Battlefield, cycling through day and night as the fight continues on. Perhaps its a symbol for how the battle never truly ends...or maybe its just a cool way to show off colors.


Battlefield is the birthplace for the tactics used on the triangular platform stages, it favors no real playstyle and is always about the combo. Underneath Battlefield, the spiked, unforgiving sharp ledges have been replaced by a short slope. Now it's possible to recover from under the edge by riding up the wall, but be careful—if you drift too far under the stage, you can still be 'battlefielded'.
