Time to go visit ol' Cranky Kong, but it doesn't seem like he has much to say to us this time around, eh? He's more than content to watch the fight safely from his rocking chair... though it looks like he's got a few concoctions he's working on as of late. Here we have Jungle Japes straight from Donkey Kong 64 with a rather calming atmosphere in contrast to the fast-paced frenzy that is Smash Bros. Don't let the alluring sunset and scenic jungle background fool you, though... this stage has more than enough peril to keep you on your toes. Remember: Keep calm and follow Cranky's advice!


Despite all that danger mentioned before, the stage itself looks rather innocuous. Center stage is spacious enough to move around without feeling too clustered and the main platform is in a rather accessible place. The two platforms off to either side are a bit more tricky to deal with, as interaction on them will require a fair bit more finesse. Be wary of the deadly Klap Trap who leaps out of the rushing waters below. He makes his appearance every 10 seconds and oft takes unsuspecting players by surprise... and to an untimely demise. Even aside from the Klap Trap, players must stay mindful of the dark waters below-- you will find no refuge there.
