For those of you who kept cool when climbing Ice Climbers' home stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee, only to be transported to a different world entirely, don't fret. Word of God says that Summit is well... the summit of Icicle Mountain. While what you see in terms of the layout itself doesn't come directly from the NES game, there are plenty of elements that do. One of your many enemies in the game, the frustrating Polar Bear chills out at the mountain top stomping away to force the stage on its many travels.
Summit is home to many striking interactions for players to adjust to as they explore the stage. Many not-so-fond memories are likely to be recalled when traversing the icy base, so watch your step! There are more cumbersome hazards than the just frozen floor, however. Both breakable* and fall-away platforms, air physics changes from stage transitions, a pesky icicle, flowing water and a special fishy guest can all ruin your attempts to have a clean fight.
